For all things are for your sakes,
that grace,
having spread through the many,
may cause thanksgiving to abound to the glory of God.
~ 2 Corinthians 4:15

The Past...
I've been a graphic artist since 1988 and a commercial web designer since 1996. To put it simply, I have always believed that: (1) God is our one and only god, and (2) that we can have His gift of eternal life through His Son, Jesus Christ.  Being human, I didn't always "walk the walk or talk the talk" (HUGE understatement!)  Because I am a "member" of Generation X, (please visit X-God: GenX Theology for a definition of Generation X and it's impact on our faith.) I needed to come to a place in my mind and soul where I was able to witness to others effectively.  I didn't want to "step on toes" or "invade anyone's space", and I also believed (and still do) that the best witness was a witness of God's love shown through His children. In addition, because of the way my brain works (attention deficit, creative inclinations, etc.) I always had trouble "understanding" what I read in the Bible and thinking clearly enough to verbalize the essence of my being.  So because of my hesitance to overstep my social boundaries, because I was not turning to God's Word for guidance, and because of my inability, I felt, to coherently express my beliefs verbally, I grew away from God.  Ultimately, God brought me back to Him through various life experiences - one of which was The Walk to Emmaus.  My husband and I (as well as many of our family members) participated in this once-in-a-lifetime spiritual retreat.  (Visit The Upper Room for more information on the Walk and it's counterparts: Chrysalis and Chrysalis Crossroads). In my need to abide with God, I began searching for sources for faith enrichment and clarification. One of the sources I found was the internet, which leads to...

The Present
I have renewed my commitment to God, and I'm focused on really studying and learning His Word. Through my internet searches, I have discovered Heartlight which, among many other things, uses images combined with scripture to uplift, encourage, console, and teach God's messages.  The seed of inspiration for this site was planted there.  Further, because of my experience with web design, I wanted to offer my abilities to my local and area Emmaus communities for a web site.  As a prologue to presenting my ideas for creating their sites, I began making the "scripture images" found in this site.  I am not a minister.  I am not a theologian.  I am not an expert.  I am merely answering God's call using gifts He has given me. This is not my work, this is God's work through me, and I will strive to create as he leads.

As I learn and grow in faith, as I experience life and turn to God's word for guidance, and as I receive requests or inspiration from others, I will chronicle - through "scripture images" - my journey.   This site is to glorify Him and convey Him to you in what may be a new form.  Over all, my witness here is to express God's grace, love, acceptance, ability, and sufficiency through scripture images.

The Future...
Obviously, the first answer is "TO BE WITH THE CREATOR!", but before that, only God knows for sure.  I do know that this site will evolve into something bigger and better.  It will serve to keep me focused on living a life of service to Him.  It will help me - and through me, others - as I study His Word.  It will serve as an "internet resume" to assist in achieving what God has led me to do - offer my abilities and services to ministries that want to use the internet as another venue.  And hopefully, God will find me a worthy vessel to use to express His grace and love to those He is "gently wooing" to Him.
Grace and Peace to You...

P.S. If you have - or know of - a church or ministry that needs my help, feel free to contact me.   My rates are very reasonable (can't get more reasonable than FREE can you!?), and I am always trying to perfect my "art".
