Welcome to my Web site!
Hello. My name is Chad Larson, and this page is centered around my pride and joy, Code Red. If you'd like to get some info on me, my truck, and what we're doing, this is the place to be.
Here's a special message to all of you out there who have problems with my website and what's on it.- I DON'T CARE IF YOU LIKE IT! If you don't like it, don't come back! I don't really care what you all think of my site and/or me!
And for everyone else, thanks to one person's stupidity, the guestbook is now down.

Happy New Year! I dropped out of Kreative Kustoms around a month ago, and have
started a new club alongside Kevin Goodwin, Leslie Wilson, Thomas Murphree and another
anonymous friend. We have yet to come up with a name.
Kevin got his car painted about three weeks ago, and in the process of paint prepping it, shaving the squirters, logos, and rear wiper, we came up with the idea to start a business for shaving stuff, body work, and paint prep. So was born Project Darksyde Customs. So now the Car Club and the business come together.
Brett took second at Halloween Fest 99 and Tracy took first. Brett- SUV Mild; Tracy- Minitruck Wild.
Kreative Kustoms is still out in force, and I want to clarify a little rumor I have become aware of. I did not make Kreative Kustoms. I joined as a founding member, but I did not start the club. To the members of Kreative Kustoms- I have nothing against your club, I did not found it, and I apologize for the misunderstanding.
More updates soon, including pics from Halloween Fest 99 and many new pics of the Code.

I took 2nd in Minitruck at Tracy's show in Oakland today. All members of Kreative
Kustoms (myself, David Gonzalez, his brother Eduardo, and Leslie Cook) except for
John were there. We also picked up a new member, a green neon with Niche Jetgears.
Pics from NOPI nationals should be up soon, as will pics of Shockwave and the Xtreme Sebring.
September 16
Brett will be off to NOPI Nationals in the morning with JC- so by next week I'll
have tons of new pics up. They're taking a few hundred pictures, so I'm going to have to
sort through the best.
The
pics of the Godfather Customs Show in Conyers, Georgia are up in the Photo
Album.

Well, Brett's sound is out again. His amp messed up about two weeks ago and is in
New York; and last weekend his signal processor burned up. Hopefully he will be able to
get everything going soon.
JC is preparing to invest in a Kenwood MASK head unit, and will have 4 PPI 10" subs. He's also going to get some of the "broken" things fixed.
Tracy's redoing his speaker box, walling in the back portion of his bed cap with his 6 twelves. It should turn out the be an awesome install. I'm going to try and get some pictures of it while the install is in progress.

Well, the lime green theme has been done away with, back to all-red again. I
can't make up my mind what I want to do. It's crazy lately- every time I think I have
something good going, I get tired of it. It's really tiring. Brett will be off to NOPI
Nationals this weekend with JC, so I'll have nothing to do! Maybe that will give me some
time to work on my site, and to make up my mind on what I'm going to do.
The members of Kreative Kustoms are finally getting their stickers, after a *long* time. Makes me kinda feel good to have helped them get a start, but I also kinda feel bad about leaving them. I guess I am better off where I am.
August 29
Well, after nearly a month of unproductive time with Kreative Kustoms, I've made
up my mind- I am going to be voted on again by Southern Customz next weekend. I've gone to
a red and lime green theme, and done a lot of work on my interior- the area I'm going to
focus on more now.

This is going to sound crazy, but last Friday I peeled off my Southern Customz
sticker, for personal reasons. I have since changed clubs to Kreative Kustoms. I have
decided not to put in the USACOUSTICS amp, but the JBL sub remains in place.
John Charles has his GRT Battle wing on, and got his Intrax racing springs in today. He's also got his two PPI 10's in...
Brett has one amp to go on his sound system, so his vehicle is almost complete to plan. I'm working on getting pics of everyone's vehicles as soon as I can.
July 25
I got my sticker put on right before I went out of town, on the 15th. Got back
from Gulf Shores and got hard to work. Took my Ventshades off, and put slotted Taillight
covers over my clear lenses. Everyone wonders why I did that, but I did! I bought back my
JBL GT 12" sub and USACOUSTICS amp from Eric. The sub is already in place and the amp
will be used to run my tweeters.
Right now my plans are kind of up in the air. Either a Wings West Ground Effects Kit or air bags, maybe a bed cover, possibly even new wheels. Don't know. What I do know is that I am going to build a new speaker box, and I am going to take my truck to John Shaw to get everything professionally painted to match.
A new club got started here in Batesville, called Kreative Kustoms. I'm posting a page to tell about them. Southern Illusions lives on in a new form! Beyond that, there really isn't much news to report...
July 5
Well, I am still waiting on my sticker. I've updated some of my plans for the
truck, which now include an S-10 Xtreme body kit, a Texas Tail, and a couple of other
mods. A 2" drop on the back end is scheduled tentatively for Sunday.
As of my last writing, Brett has taken out his speaker rig and put his back seat in. He's now planning on putting in 10 of the Pioneer twelves, and I found out today that he has bought a full air bag kit, along with compressor and all, from Tracy, to be put on next Friday.
Purple Passion is out of commission until at least tomorrow morning. The brakes went out. Tracy ordered a new set and is planning on fixing it in the morning.
Ray has dropped out of Southern Customz, and may be planning to make some major changes to his truck. He may be looking into joining up with Illegal Rides, a big-time local club.
JC is still waiting on his double-decker wing. He had planned to go into Memphis today and pick it up along with my sticker and his new sticker, but both businesses were closed in observance of Independence Day.
June 27
I GOT IN! Southern Customz voting was yesterday, and the Code made it. Also
making it in was Tyler Sharp, with his white Pathfinder. I get my sticker at the next
meeting, which would be the second week in July. I can't wait! More on it later on!
June 13
Well, I finally broke down and took the Code to a show last weekend. The show was
at Daniel's Farm in Oakland, Mississippi. It was the First Annual Oakland Car & Truck
Show, and my friend Tracy Jenkins, vice president of Southern Customs, threw it. It was a
cool event for me, never having been to a show before. It was in a large field, and there
were all sorts of cool rides there. Tracy seemed to be happier than I've seen him in a
while. I enjoyed having people walk around and look in my truck, and I didn't really get
nervous until they called Minitrucks out. I waited for a second for my friend Raymond to
roll his '98 S-10 out so I wouldn't have to go first, but Tommy, who was parked beside me,
told me to get on out there. So I rolled out first. I competed against Raymond, Brandon
Hinton, a man named Tyrone with a bad little Nissan, and Tracy's cousin, who was driving
Tracy's old purple truck. I about wet myself when Tracy set a trophy on my hood. They
announced that I had won 3rd place, with Tyrone taking second and Raymond taking first.
Hey, third place out of five ain't the best, but I was happy! Now I have to get ready for
my next show!
Well, my amp came in Thursday, and I was really excited about getting my sound system
hooked up. I took the truck to Brett for some help with my hot wire, which wasn't getting
enough current to bring the amp online. Unfortunately, after we got the amp running, we
accidentally shut the wire in the door, cutting the insulation, and shorting it out,
causing a small, contained blaze. I took some damage to my carpet, Antifreeze tank, and a
few interior panels, all of which I repaired. Still makes me mad though. Hopefully I will
be able to hook up my system one day this week, depending on how long it takes me to get
brave enough to attempt it again.
Well, for those of you in Southern Customs looking at this site, I've been bragging on my web expertise, and here's the proof of it! Now you need to let me do a website for you!
